Three New Members with Lots to Share

Katherine Grace Bond has been involved in our Artist Way Groups for several years now. She’s part of Our Women’s Group now, bringing lots of great energy, and the coolest Steampunk hat, to our recent Random Words Part 1 Workshop.

Katherine is the author of The Summer of No Regrets, Luke’s Journal, Considering Flight, and the bestseller, The Legend of the Valentine.

Visit her site to learn about Labyrinth Writing Academy, what her coaching skills can do for you, and participate in her free weekly Labyrinth Write-Ins (zoom).

Spiritual coach and mentor Miché Meizner had added author to her list. The Wellness Guide to Complete Self-Care: 25 Tools for Life is available on Kindle for the promotional price of just $1.99. I highly recommend it.

Miche is gifted healer, speaker, facilitator of Spoonbending Workshops, and jeweler.

Visit Miché’s site micheshines.com to learn about her four decades of combining wisdom and woo.

And don’t forget to download the Free Guided Meditation Creating New Possibilities.

Several members of our groups are part of Gina-Dianne Harding’s Original Word of the Month Higher Consciousness Group on Facebook.

Group member Marifran Korb suggested I join Word of the Month back in 2023. I thought, “Why not?”

This is my second year participating in her powerful #12dayswordofthemonth. You actually choose your word for each month during the first twelve days of the New Year. When I first did this in 2024 I thought, “So how’s this going to work?” But it did. Every month my chosen word just fit.

I also learned about Gina-Dianne’s books, and have taken part in various events for her Mary Magdalene series.

Her Word Weaver Mandala Journal is the latest in her body of work, and it’s both beautiful to look at and use. This is not the usual lined pages or blank book with prompts sprinkled here and there.

I’m taking Word Walks, creating symbols, doodling, and gaining new perspectives. Journaling has become a true spiritual practice.

Gina-Diane will hosting a free Global Summit May 12-16 - stay tuned for details.

The Unstoppable Lynne Brown

What happens when your brand new, professionally set up laptop and keyboard just won’t work? And you grab your IPad and sign on, only to find your not inexpensive WiFi fails after a few minutes.

Do you give upNot if you’re Lynne Brown.

Our fearless presenter grabbed her IPhone and led us through her latest workshop, Random Words, even though she could only see four of us - and we couldn’t see her at all!

Fortunately, the iPad held on long enough for Lynne to see the festive headgear we all wore in honor of her birthday. I was so glad we got through Happy Birthday before the WiFi failed.

Random Words was one of our best ever workshops. And there will be a Part 2.

Details to be posted at FB group site Wednesday, March 5th 2025.

Lynne out on the town for her birthday.

Becoming - A Look Back

This was posted at our original OWG website in November ‘23

My daughter Josie and I use the word becoming around the kitchen. When spices & herbs are added to a simmering pot we say the dish is becoming.

Since our Lynne Brown began her free series of workshops I have felt myself becoming. After class, many of us hang out to chat about what came up and out during the journaling sessions.

Today after class long-time member Linda, newcomer Becca & myself talked about discovering The Artist Way, art we are currently working on, and what we’d like to do in the near future.

Becca mentioned collage, and I talked about a breakthrough Soul Collage experience I had thanks to Linda’s skills as a Soul Collage facilitator.

Becca had this to say about her first workshop with Lynne today:

I enjoyed the Journaling, Part 2 class which was my first attendance.  Per Lynne Brown's suggestion, dialoguing with myself with regards to my "stuff" was very helpful.  My stuff were the physical limitations of my body and my lack of motivation.  I actually heard messages that I would not have been aware until I dialogued with myself.  Simple messages such as getting out in nature more.  Little acts such as listening to the birds, and being more aware of my needs in any given moment--the need to rest, to walk, to listen to nature, and to enjoy each moment.  Self care, self love, community, family, friends are all a part of this process. Relax, renew and enjoy.

I stayed for the discussion after the class, and was thankful for the warm welcome and the camaraderie.

Thank you for the invitation.

Linda, who has attended the entire series wrote:

Taking a class with Lynne is like reaching into my inner well. I never know what will come up. I have almost filled a large sketchbook with tasks from her group.

Can’t wait to fill it all up!

Onward!

Writing Prompts by Lynne Brown
Meditation led by Linda Sanchez

Wow! Here we are in December. What happened to January?  Time moves along quickly when you are doing something else.

So, this Sunday we are going to take some time to review the year, look at where we are and where we want to be next year.

So, bring your journal, pencil crayons and your vision board. We will explore. Plan and have fun!
Looking forward to seeing you there.

Sounds like a great way to close out 2024, doesn’t it?

We had a year of great gatherings. Workshops with Lynne. Linda’s 50th Birthday. Halloween with Marifran.

Most recently, the fun of November 3rd’s Show & Tell, and the soothing Release and Renew on November 10th.

I want to thank Lynne Brown for writing prompts extraordinaire, Linda Sanchez for leading meditations, Barbara Lee for sharing her yoga moves, and Marifran Korb for teaching us coping techniques.

And most especially, I thank each of you for being part of Our Women’s Group.

Love & Light to All
